Our office is currently seeking a lawyer with two (2) to five (5) years of experience and with an interest in indigenous law to join our team in Montreal and support the growth of our office. In this role, you will be involved in a wide variety of files and work closely with our customers to advise and answer a variety of commercial, regulatory and governmental questions, assisting them in their day-to-day activities, as well as in their new projects and development.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions;
- Draft, revise and negotiate various types of contracts;
- Draft and revise laws and regulations;
- Act as a corporate secretary to indigenous businesses and entities;
- Advise indigenous businesses, corporations and governments on their projects and activities.
Experience Required
- 2 to 5 years of experience working in a law firm;
- Experience in commercial law, corporate law, administrative law or indigenous law will be considered an asset.
Qualification Required
- Bachelor’s degree in law;
- A member in good standing with the Quebec Bar.
